I know how to drive a car and fill it with petrol. That's about it. I have extremely limited knowledge. HOWEVER - I have always wanted to own a Frogeye Sprite. I am also not rich so have decided to build something as similar as posisble.

I have in the last 24hrs purchased a 1966 Sprite Mk III - the bodywork looks lousy and I have no idea of the condition of the chassis but thought it would be a great starting point.

I'm looking at buying a kit to do a complete rebuild. Does anyone have any thoughts/advice? Should I try to build with genuine Frogeye parts or go with a kit? As I am a complete novice and technical dunderhead, this is going to be some project and any help would be much appreciated! I'm based in Somerset if anyone local to me has any spare time they could give!!!

Thanks so much!
